Good Causes

Hamble Week is all about raising money to help the good causes of Hamble - it's the week Hamble gives back to those who give all year.  There are plenty of organisations around the village that provide vital services for all, and some dedicated to disadvantaged and worthy causes.  Here are some of the causes we've helped over the years

Hamble Village Playschool is a community-run pre-school setting for children in Hamble and the surrounding area.  We run twice daily 2.5 and 3 hour sessions weekdays for children aged between 2 years 9 months and 5 years.

The Playschool is a registered charity and is run by an elected Committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. It is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice, and for the employment and appraisal of staff. The Committee is elected annually at the Playschool’s Annual General Meeting, which is held in the autumn term.
