6th Itchen, Hamble Sea Scouts are one of the most active sea scout groups in the country with 30 cub scouts, 50 sea scouts 40 Explorers and an active Network section of about 20 members. Our headquarters are located at the very heart of sailing in the village of Hamble, near Southampton on the south coast of England.

Led by fully qualified and experienced leaders, we cover every aspect of seamanship, whilst still carrying out those activities traditionally associated with scouting. We participate in a wide variety of land and water based activities. As an RYA recognised training centre we provide seamanship, dinghy and power boat training to the RYA scheme.

Water based activities include swimming, rowing, canoeing (with white water camps), surfing, power boating, sailing in different types of boats ranging from our 5 new Picos through high performance asymmetric skiffs to our 30 ft gaff rigged ketch Stonechat, and our Dragon Boat.

Shore based activities include, First Aid, Safety at sea, Camping, Shooting, Archery, Hiking, Navigation, Pioneering, Cooking, Swimming and in-pool canoe practice.
